Daniel Rooney

Daniel Rooney has a diverse and extensive work experience. Daniel is currently working as a Hardware Engineer at Cumulus Neuroscience since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a freelance Video Editor, creating custom content for various clients from 2018 onwards.

From 2009 to 2021, Daniel worked at Johnson Controls, where they held multiple roles. Daniel started as a Senior Electronic Repairs Engineer, managing customer returns and gaining extensive knowledge in the access control sector. Daniel then became a Quality Assurance Engineer, responsible for conducting high-level tests on hardware and firmware, collaborating with the engineering department to develop test plans and setups.

Before joining Johnson Controls, Daniel worked at Poundstretcher Ltd. as a Sales Assistant for a brief period in 2009, handling till work, customer interactions, restocking, and cashing up.

Prior to that, Daniel was employed at CEM Systems Ltd. as a Workshop Technician from 2002 to 2009. Their responsibilities included constructing access control products, performing operational tests, stock checks, and training new employees.

Daniel's early work experience includes working as a Workshop Technician at Profile Emergency Lighting from 2000 to 2002. Here, they converted standard light fixtures for emergency lighting, conducted repairs and maintenance both in the lab and on-site, and handled the booking, packing, and shipping of products.

Daniel Rooney began their education at Springvale Learning, where they completed the VRQ Intermediate Diploma in Engineering and Technology (Electrical/Electronic) in 2006. Daniel also achieved the ETCAL Performing Engineering Operations Level 2 qualification in the same year. In 2008, they earned the VRQ Advanced Diploma in Engineering and Technology (Electrical/Electronic) from Springvale Learning. Daniel then went on to complete the HNC Level 4 in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Belfast Metropolitan College from 2013 to 2014. More recently, from 2019 to 2020, they attended Ulster University and obtained an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Drafting and Mechanical Drafting CAD/CADD.
