Olivier Coenen is a highly accomplished Senior Research Scientist at BrainChip, focusing on the development of next-generation AI technologies since April 2021. Prior to this role, Olivier served as CTO and Founder of KELZAL, successfully raising approximately $3 million while innovating in autonomous imaging technologies from April 2014 to October 2020. Olivier has extensive experience in technology incubation, having participated in programs at LightSpeed Innovations, EvoNexus, Plug and Play Tech Center, and The Founder Institute. Previous roles include Senior Scientist at Brain Corporation and Qualcomm, where contributions included developing models for motor control systems and working on DARPA projects for artificial nervous systems for UAVs. Olivier holds a Ph.D. in Physics (Biophysics) from UC San Diego and a B.Sc. in Honours Physics from McGill University.
