Brain Injury Services helps children and adults with a brain injury build the skills and confidence they need to lead a fulfilling and productive life.  

The organization was the first community-based brain injury case management program of its​ kind in Virginia.  It was instrumental in providing guidance to other communities across the Commonwealth that now utilize this model program.  In 2002,  Brain Injury Services was awarded a Commonwealth Neurotrauma Initiative Grant to establish the first pediatric brain injury case management program.  The organization now serves all of Northern Virginia, Fredericksburg, and surrounding Counties, including Culpeper and Fauquier.  It added specialized programs over the years to include: day programs, supported living services, supported employment, volunteer programs, PALS, Speakers Bureau, therapeutic groups, Assistive Technology, "Money Follows the Person"​ coordination, and other services as needed.

The Clinical and Case Management team at Brain Injury Services plays a crucial role in supporting individuals with brain injuries throughout Northern Virginia. This team consists of specialized case managers and licensed clinical social workers who assess client needs, develop personalized care plans, and coordinate services to enhance independence and quality of life. They provide ongoing support across various programs, including pediatric and adult case management, ensuring that clients receive the resources and guidance essential for their recovery and integration into the community.
