Karl Maere is a Technical Lead at Bradken, overseeing the technical and quality teams to enhance product value and ensure compliance in Wodonga’s foundry operations since February 2017. Previously, as Technical Supervisor and Melting Supervisor, Karl focused on standardizing manufacturing methods, improving production processes, and managing safety and quality in melting operations. Beginning with Bradken as a Graduate Metallurgist after completing a Bachelor of Engineering Materials at the University of Wollongong, Karl accumulated diverse engineering experience across multiple foundries during an undergraduate scholarship. Prior to that, Karl worked as a Trades Assistant in the construction, building, and mining industries, contributing to large-scale projects.
