Dan Stoner is the Chief Program Officer (CPO) at BRAC USA, where he serves as a key leader in providing technical support that builds the capacity of all BRAC entities to design quality programs. He also leads the development of programs for the U.S. Government, Global Affairs Canada, and private foundations. Dan is a member of the senior leadership team of BRAC USA.
Dan is a seasoned international development professional with more than 25 years of experience, including 17 years working and living in South America and East Africa. Dan spent eight years at Save the Children, where he was the Vice President for Education and Child Protection at its U.S. headquarters. In his 15 years at Plan International, he worked at its headquarters, in regional offices in Nairobi and Quito, and in-country programs in Tanzania, Bolivia, and Brazil.
Dan has served on many boards of directors, including the Basic Education Coalition, the Global Alliance for Children, and several microfinance organizations in Bolivia. He has extensive experience winning and managing U.S. Agency for International Development and U.S. Department of Agriculture programs, as well as experience managing programs and teams working with a wide range of institutional and private donors.
