Shahriar Rahman is an experienced professional in sustainable finance and environmental economics, currently serving as FAVP and Focal of Sustainability at BRAC Bank Limited since April 2018. In this role, Shahriar operates as an Assistant Vice President in the Sustainable Finance Unit, focusing on environmental and social governance. Prior experience includes working in the Green Banking Unit at IDLC Finance Limited, where Shahriar identified business opportunities in renewable energy and energy conservation projects. Earlier positions involved managing ISO certification processes at Cityscape International Ltd. and technical project supervision at Trust Alliance Technology Ltd. Shahriar holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Economics from Dhaka School of Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
