Chad W. Bown is an accomplished professional in the energy sector with extensive experience in venture capital and strategic management. Currently serving as Managing Director of bp Ventures since 2011, Chad manages a diverse investment portfolio aimed at accelerating innovative technologies in the energy field. Prior to this, Chad held the position of Strategic Manager at Jacobs, where solutions for clients' energy transition challenges were developed, and served as Commercial Manager at Shell, overseeing global capital acquisition for exploration and production. Chad's early career includes service as a Captain in the United States Air Force, managing a team on the GPS satellite modernization program. Chad holds a BBA from Texas A&M University, an MBA in Finance from Loyola Marymount University, and has completed an Advancing Leadership program at INSEAD.
