Anton Jahn-Vavrus

Anton Jahn-Vavrus has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Starting in 2015, they worked as a Yard Care Specialist until 2021. In 2018, they briefly worked as a Floral Specialist at Soderberg's Floral and Gift. In 2019, they joined 826 MSP as a Writer's Room Staff and Leadership member, providing tutoring and support for creative writing projects. They also served on the Writer's Room Advisory Council, planning events and workshops. From 2020 to 2021, Anton founded and ran their own wellness brand, Trident Training LLC, offering personal training services and achieving successful client results. In 2021, they became the CEO of Let Us Live, an organization dedicated to raising awareness of gun violence and fundraising for community organizations. At Hennepin County in 2022, Anton served as the Youth Representative during the interview process for an upper-level job in the Juvenile Detention Sector. They provided input and attended meetings to evaluate candidates. They also worked at Himalayan Restaurant as the Head Wait Staff from 2021 to 2022, handling various restaurant duties and maintaining operations during challenging situations. In 2022, Anton served as a Commercial Cleaning Project Supervisor at Corner to Corner Cleaning LLC, managing projects and maintaining a precise schedule. They then took on the roles of Education Specialist and Youth Leader at Boys & Girls Clubs of America, supporting programming and fostering a safe space for kids. Currently, Anton is employed at Loyola University Chicago, serving as a Lead Conflict Resolution Liaison in the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution. They lead restorative justice practices and provide support to students in need. They also started and led the first meditation class at the university, contributing to student wellness. Anton's work experience demonstrates their commitment to social justice, mental health, and community involvement.

Anton Jahn-Vavrus began their education at South Senior High School, where they obtained a High School Diploma. They then moved on to Loyola University Chicago from 2021 to 2025, where they earned both Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Sociology and Urban Studies. Additionally, Anton has obtained various certifications, including being CITI Course Certified in Social & Behavioral Research from the Institutional Review Board in February 2023, being certified in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED by the American Red Cross in January 2023, becoming a Licensed Basketball Coach through USA Basketball in June 2022, and becoming a Certified Personal Trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in August 2021.
