Chief Strategy Officer at BoxCast

Brad Hughes is the Chief Strategy Officer at BoxCast. Brad has been with the company since May 2021 and in their current role for just over a year. Prior to that, they were the Principal Product Engineer and helped reduce the development, test, and release cycle time of the BoxCaster Pro firmware by migrating to Yocto.

Brad is a strong leader with a proven track record of success. Brad has a deep understanding of the product development process and is always looking for ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Brad is also an expert in building and scaling teams, having recruited and trained staff at all levels within the organization.

During their time as Chief Strategy Officer, Brad has led several initiatives that have had a positive impact on the company. Brad introduced and scaled new functions such as product management and user experience. Brad also defined and selected OKRs (Objectives + Key Results) to align stakeholders and drive strategic outcomes. In addition, they adopted Agile philosophies to bring predictability to product development and cloud operations.

Some of Brad’s notable accomplishments include leading product pricing refinements from idea to success with the Premium Plan, coordinating and delivering all technical due diligence materials for a $20M Series A investment round, and reorganizing product, engineering, and user experience into 6 self-organizing Agile teams.

Thanks to Brad’s vision and leadership, BoxCast has been able to accelerate exponential growth during the COVID

Brad Hughes has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, as well as a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the same school.
