Szilvia Ruszev is an experienced educator and freelance film editor with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Senior Lecturer at Bournemouth University since April 2022 and a Part-time Lecturer at ifs internationale filmschule köln since June 2019, Szilvia has previously held positions such as Adjunct Assistant Professor at ArtCenter College of Design and Assistant Professor at Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. Szilvia's extensive freelance work as a film editor began in January 1999, complemented by leading workshops at the European Editing Master Class. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Media Arts and Practice from the University of Southern California, a Master's degree in Film Editing from Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, and degrees in Bulgarian Language and Literature as well as Film Theory and Pedagogy from Eötvös Loránd University.
