Christine Pritchard, PhD

R&d Group Leader at Boulder Scientific Company

Christine Pritchard, PhD, has a diverse work experience in the field of synthetic organic, inorganic, and organometallic chemistry. Christine has worked as a Scientist II at Boulder Scientific Company since April 2022, where they focus on bench-scale to scale-up chemistry, emphasizing reliability, safety, and efficiency. Prior to this, they worked as a Scientist I at the same company, where they gained experience in various analytical techniques, synthetic approaches, and reaction design. Christine also independently taught laboratory chemistry classes to undergraduate students and graded for an inorganic chemistry class.

Before joining Boulder Scientific Company, Christine was a Graduate Student at the University of Vermont from May 2013 to March 2018, pursuing their PhD in organometallics, catalysis, and synthetic chemistry. Their research focused on designing catalysts for selective formation of phosphines and studying reaction mechanisms and intermediates. Christine had extensive familiarity with NMR spectroscopy, IR, air-free techniques, Schlenk line chemistry, gloveboxes, and purification.

Prior to their graduate studies, Christine worked as a Student Researcher at Bucknell University from May 2011 to December 2012, where they studied iron complexes with various phenols and their coupling. Christine also worked as a Polymers Technical Aide at 3M from May 2010 to January 2011.

Christine Pritchard, PhD completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Bucknell University, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Christine then pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry at the University of Vermont from 2013 to 2018.
