Bert Müller

Co-Founder at Bottmedical

Bert Müller has had a long and varied career in the field of research. Starting in 1994 as a Research Associate at the Optoelectronics Lab University Paderborn, they then moved to the Institute of Experimental Physics ETH Lausanne as a Team Leader Organic Thin Films in 1995. In 1997, they became a Staff Scientist at the Nonlinear Optics Lab, followed by a Team Leader position at the Swiss Federal Institute in 1998. In 1999, they were a General Manager at both the National Center and ETH Zurich. In 2001, they became the General Manager of NCCR Co-Me and in 2008 they were appointed Head of Institute a.i. at the Dental School, University Basel. Finally, in 2019 they became Co-Founder at Bottmedical AG. Bert has also been a Prof. Dr. at the University of Basel since 2006.

Bert Müller began their educational journey in 1982 at the University of Basel, where they earned a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Berlin Medical Faculty. Bert then attended Technische Universität Dresden from 1984 to 1989. Finally, they completed their education at Leibniz Universität Hannover, where they earned a Dr. rer. nat. in Physics from 1992 to 1994.
