Patrick Hamelin has been working in the tech industry since 2012. In that time, they have held a variety of roles, including Machinery Intern at Dynamic Power Transmission, Solar Tech Intern at the Shanghai Solar Energy Research Center, Software Engineering Manager at RhinoShield by Evolutive Labs, Co-Founder - Product at Lotusfire, and most recently, Growth Developer at Botpress. At Botpress, they work on an application for making chatbots that save companies' money and increase customer satisfaction. At Lotusfire, they ideate startup ideas, builds and iterates proofs of concepts, and works on a subscription based app for learning English with natural language processing. At RhinoShield by Evolutive Labs, they built and led teams to solve problems during exponential growth phase of company, and worked on R&D projects.

Patrick Hamelin completed a Bachelor of Engineering Physics from Université Laval between 2009 and 2013. Patrick also studied Mandarin Chinese at Feng Chia University in 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma of College Studies in Pure and Applied Science from St Lawrence College in Quebec City, Canada, between 2007 and 2009.
