Katherine Garlo is a highly experienced medical professional currently serving as Senior Medical Director and Global Clinical Lead in Clinical Development at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., since September 2018. Previously, Katherine held positions including Director and Associate Director of Global Clinical Development at the same company and completed a Nephrology Fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital from June 2015 to September 2018. Katherine's early career includes roles as a Clinical Research Fellow at Boston Pharmaceuticals, a medical volunteer with Himalayan HealthCare, and an Internal Medicine resident at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center. Katherine earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Rush Medical College and has engaged in international studies in biology at the University of Otago, as well as completing a Bachelor's degree in Pre-Medicine at Wellesley College.
