Elliot Kelley

Lead Scientist In Sentient Systems Directorate at Boston Fusion Corp

Elliot Kelley has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles.

Elliot began their career as a Cyber Defense Intern at the Air Force Research Laboratory in 2012, focusing on identifying vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategies for secure operations.

They later worked as a Video and Image Processing Assistant in the Multidisciplinary Vision Research Laboratory at RIT, where they gained experience in video and image processing.

Elliot then joined MIT Lincoln Laboratory as an Algorithm Development Intern, prototyping hyperspectral false alarm mitigation algorithms and assessing detectability of new elements in scenery. They later returned to MIT Lincoln Laboratory as an Assistant Staff, where they worked from 2014 to 2018.

In 2018, Elliot joined STR as a Technical Staff in the Sensors and Signal Processing Division. They later became a Senior Scientist and had various responsibilities, including leading a team of engineers to develop algorithms for separating and labeling sparse signals, managing relationships with contractors and end-users, and leading employee resource groups focused on diversity and inclusion.

Elliot also worked as a Mathematics Consultant in the Oral Microbiology Laboratory at RIT, where they developed a GUI for biology students to compute statistics on microscopy images.

From 2020 onwards, Elliot worked as a Podcaster for "Why Can't We Be Wizards," a live role-playing comedy improv podcast. They voiced the character Allison/Allen, a young wizard going to Hogwarts.

Most recently, Elliot joined Boston Fusion as a Lead Scientist in 2023.

Elliot Kelley obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics from the Rochester Institute of Technology, between the years 2010 and 2014.
