Gregory Izatt

Research Engineer at Boston Dynamics

Gregory Izatt is a Research Engineer at Boston Dynamics since March 2022, following a substantial academic career at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on robotics was attained from 2014 to 2020. Prior to the current role, Gregory worked as a Graduate Student, contributing to software development for MIT's DARPA Robotics Challenge team and conducting research on state estimation and robust manipulation. Academic roles included serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, revamping coursework in Underactuated Robotics, and leading software engineering efforts for the MIT Hyperloop Team, which won first place in the 2016 Design Competition. Previous research experiences included summer fellowships at the Koch Lab and Teller Lab, as well as undergraduate roles at Caltech and Protochips, Inc. The educational foundation includes a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Caltech, earned in 2014.
