DaLyah Jones is a seventh-generation Afro-Texan and current Program Officer for the Racial Equity in Journalism Fund at Borealis Philanthropy, where a passion for transforming traditional journalism and advocating for BIPOC communities is evident. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Engagement at Texas Observer, where a year-long research project was conducted to survey Texas communities, train individuals to combat disinformation, and facilitate storytelling. DaLyah has also excelled as an Investigative Environmental Reporter and Staff Writer, Treasurer, and Board Member at Press On Media, and Lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin. Additional roles include Assistant Producer at NPR's In Black America, Assistant Producer and Host at KUT Public Media, co-hosting the Two&Fro Podcast, and other positions, underscoring a strong commitment to equitable journalism and community engagement. DaLyah holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication from Texas State University.
