Keyi Tang is a Senior Research Engineer at Borealis AI, specializing in causal machine learning for data-driven decision making since January 2020. Prior to this role, Keyi served as a Research Engineer focusing on NLP and ML for automated question answering. Keyi's experience also includes working as an Applied Scientist at Amazon, contributing to the Spoken Language Understanding team for Alexa, and as a Data Scientist and NLP Engineer at ForeSee, developing state-of-the-art deep learning models for natural language understanding tasks. Keyi began a research career as a Research Assistant in the Human Communication Technology Lab at the University of British Columbia, where a personalized computational biomechanical model was developed, and also gained teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant in various engineering courses. Keyi holds a Master of Applied Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.
