Pete Smith serves as the Principal and CEO of Borders College since September 2022, with extensive experience in various leadership roles across educational institutions and organizations. Additionally, Pete holds a position as Non Executive Director at APUC since June 2016 and has previously contributed as Non Executive Director and Company Secretary at ASET International Energy Training Academy from September 2018 to September 2022. Previous roles include Vice Principal for Finance and Resources at North East Scotland College and Board Member at Newbattle Abbey College and Events Venue. Pete was also involved with the Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges and Live Borders as a Non Executive Director. A career in the educational sector began with a position as Head of Business Services at Scottish Borders Council and an earlier role as Associate Principal at Edinburgh's Telford College. Pete is an ACCA graduate from Edinburgh Napier University.
