Maria Woltjen is an accomplished legal advocate with extensive experience in child migration and children's rights. As an Advisory Board Member at Justice In Motion and a Board Member at Borderless Magazine, Woltjen actively contributes to important causes. Woltjen founded the Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights, where advocacy focuses on the well-being of unaccompanied immigrant children, serving as a Child Advocate appointed by the federal government. Previously, Woltjen served as the Director of the Children's Advocacy Project at the Chicago Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights, engaging in significant litigation and public policy work for youth involved in the juvenile justice and education systems. Woltjen earned a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
