Jeremy Welsand serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Border States since December 2011, leading accounting, financial services, and risk management while contributing to long-term planning with the Board of Directors. Previously, Welsand was an Audit Partner at Grant Thornton LLP from April 1997 to November 2011, focusing on assurance services for public and private companies. Earlier experience includes a role as Audit Supervisor at McGladrey & Pullen from 1994 to 1997, where supervision of audit engagements was a key responsibility. Welsand holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Superior, completed between 1989 and 1994, and attended Superior Senior High School from 1987 to 1989.
