Carolyn Farrior Boone is the Director at Boone Newspapers. Carolyn has previous experience as an Assistant Course Coordinator at Vanderbilt University, a Translation Intern at Evolve Digital Media, a Teaching Assistant at the University of Memphis, and a Communications Intern and French Tutor at Rhodes College.

Boone has a passion for language and culture. Carolyn first developed their interest in French while living in Nashville, TN and studying abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France during their junior year of college. After graduation, they moved to Memphis, TN to pursue a Master's degree in French Studies at the University of Memphis. During their time there, they also worked as a Teaching Assistant for two years.

In 2012, they interned at Evolve Digital Media, where they translated newspaper photo captions from French to English. The following year, they began working as the Assistant Course Coordinator at Vanderbilt University, organizing syllabi for introductory French courses and observing and advising beginning language instructors. In December 2014, they left Vanderbilt to become the Director at Boone Newspapers.

Carolyn Farrior Boone earned their Doctor of Philosophy in French Language and Literature from Vanderbilt University, their Masters in French Language and Literature from The University of Memphis, and their Bachelor of Arts in French & English Languages & Literature from Rhodes College. Carolyn also attended Tuscaloosa Academy.
