Ric Parker is President, International Society for Air-Breathing Engines (ISABE) and Chairman, Singapore Aerospace Programme. He is also Chairman of the Technical Committee for the Singapore Low Carbon Energy Research Programme. He was Chairman of the $4.4B European Clean Sky programme until 2019. He is a Distinguished Visitor at the UK National Physical Laboratory. Ric was appointed Director of Research & Technology (CTO), Rolls-Royce Group in January 2001 and retired April 2016 after 37 years with the Company. Ric gained a CBE for Services to Engineering, 2013; European CTO of the Year, 2014; Royal Aeronautical Society Gold Medal, 2015; Council of European Aerospace Societies Gold Medal, (CEAS), 2019; Public Service Silver Medal, Singapore, 2021. Ric is a visiting Professor in Aerospace and Transport Technology at Loughborough University, in Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College and in Materials Engineering at Birmingham University, UK. He has Doctorates (honoris causa) from seven universities worldwide. Ric is married with two adult daughters and has homes in Derby and Nine Elms, London.
