Uday Akkaraju began their career in 2012 as the Co-founder and CEO of NUCREUS, a design lab that creates singularly new technologies to help overcome human limitations. In 2017, they became an Advisor for OpinionX. In 2018, they took on the role of Chairman & CEO for BOND.AI. In 2021, they joined Menstrupedia as an Advisor and the STEM Leadership Council for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. In 2022, they became an Advisor for VeVerse and a Mentor for the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business.

Uday Akkaraju obtained a Master's in Human-Centered Design from the National Institute of Design in 2009, after which they conducted research at Simon Fraser University in Artificial Intelligence & Cognitive Science from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's in Technology from Vellore Institute of Technology in 2007, where they studied School of Mechanical & Building Sciences.
