Kyler Bender, P.E., PTOE has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Kyler is currently serving as the Vice Chair for the Buildings & Infrastructure Committee at ACEC/NC since July 2023. Prior to this role, they worked at Bolton & Menk, Inc. as a Principal Engineer and later as a Senior Project Manager from July 2017 to December 2018.

Before joining Bolton & Menk, Inc., Kyler worked at Northern Technologies, LLC (NTI) where they held the positions of Construction Services Manager/Principal Engineer from February 2014 to July 2017 and Project Engineer from April 2011 to January 2014.

Earlier in their career, Kyler worked at Civil Solutions Group as a Project Manager from March 2009 to April 2011.

Kyler Bender, P.E., PTOE holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in Construction Management and Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Central Florida. In December 2019, Kyler obtained the Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification from the Traffic Professional Certification Board (TPCB). In addition, Kyler is a Licensed Professional Engineer, with certifications from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, the Minnesota Board of AELSLAGID, and the NCBELS (North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors).
