Dylan McKnight, AICP has a diverse work experience in the fields of urban design, planning, and development. Dylan currently works as a Senior Urban Designer at Bolton & Menk, Inc. since 2023. Prior to that, they were a Transportation Planner at the City of Charlotte from 2021 to 2023 and a Lecturer at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2019 to 2023. Dylan also gained valuable experience as a Planner/Urban Designer at Stantec from 2015 to 2021 and as a Planning & Development Associate at Charlotte Center City Partners from 2014 to 2015. Dylan started their career as a Planning & Development Intern at Argos Real Estate Advisors, Inc. from 2012 to 2014 and as a Community Outreach Specialist at Sustain Charlotte from 2010 to 2013. Dylan also interned at UNC Charlotte's Office of Real Estate and Land Use in 2013. Dylan began their professional journey as a Horticulturist at Witherspoon - Pike Enterprises Inc DBA Witherspoon Rose Culture from 2003 to 2011.
Dylan McKnight, AICP, has a strong educational background in planning and design. Dylan obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Community Planning from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2012-2013. Prior to that, they earned another Master of Arts (MA) degree in Urban Design from the same university in 2011-2012. Dylan'sundergraduate studies were focused on Botany/Plant Biology, which resulted in a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from North Carolina State University, completed between 1996 and 2000. Dylan also possesses a high school diploma from Southeast Guilford High, obtained in 1996. In addition to their academic achievements, Dylan McKnight has obtained the certification of AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners) in January 2017.
