Randy Broussard is a geologist at the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation, and Enforcement since February 2012, specializing in geologic and risk assessment for petroleum prospects in the Gulf of Mexico. Responsibilities include prospect mapping using Geoframe and Petrel software, well log interpretation, geologic risk assessment, and statistical analysis of potential reserves. Previously, Randy served as a Biological Science Technician at the Minerals Management Service, managing databases for marine life, and worked as an intern for The Irwin Brown Company, focusing on logistics and record-keeping. Early career experiences include various roles at The Italian Pie and Sears Holdings Corporation. Randy holds a Master’s degree in Petroleum Geology and degrees in Earth and Environmental Sciences and Business Administration from the University of New Orleans.
