Emily L. has extensive experience in environmental policy and management, currently serving as the Office Director for Strategic Policy and International Affairs at the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management since April 2012. In this role, Emily also acts as Chief of Staff for the Bureau and manages operations for the BOEM Office of the Director. Prior to this, Emily held various positions at the National Park Service, including Acting Deputy Director, and served as Senior Policy Advisor at the U.S. Department of Commerce, providing strategic advice across multiple divisions. Additional experience includes work as a Senior Policy Analyst for the National Commission on the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and Offshore Drilling, and a Legislative Fellow with the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. Emily's educational credentials include a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University, a Master of Arts in International Relations from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan.
