Ashley Long is a geologist with extensive experience in marine science and geology. Currently employed at the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management as part of the Marine Minerals Program since June 2020, Ashley is also a PhD student at Coastal Carolina University, focusing on the investigation of tectonic, climatic, and inherited topographic controls on post-Miocene paleo-channels in South Carolina. Previous roles include serving as a Senior Geologist at ConocoPhillips from July 2009 to October 2015, where responsibilities included regional exploration in the Gulf of Mexico and appraisal of various subsurface reservoirs. Ashley holds a PhD in Marine and Coastal Science Systems from Coastal Carolina University, a Master's degree in Geology from Northern Arizona University, and a Bachelor's degree in Geology from the University of Maryland.
