Ayal Somech serves as the Executive Director of Applied Innovation in the Office of the CTO at Boeing, leading a team focused on integrating external innovations into the company. Ayal has a robust portfolio of roles within Boeing HorizonX Ventures, including Director of Portfolio Development and Sr. Manager of Global Engagement, where responsibilities encompassed enhancing portfolio value and fostering relationships with startups globally. Prior to these roles, Ayal was an Investing Manager and an IT Regional Leader for Europe and Israel, overseeing IT strategy and operations for a large regional team. Ayal's military experience includes serving as a Major and Liaison Officer in the Israeli Air Force's Arrow Unit, focusing on national security. Ayal's entrepreneurial experience includes being the CEO of an IoT startup that innovated the parking industry. Ayal holds a BA in Government, Diplomacy, and Strategy from Reichman University and has completed multiple leadership programs at the Boeing Leadership Center.
