Valerie Nock serves as the Global Head of Pharmacometrics at Boehringer Ingelheim since November 2012, leading a team of over 30 pharmacometricians across three sites in Germany and the US. Valerie shaped the future of pharmacometrics at the company, supporting clinical development programs from the initiation phase through to submission and promoting model-informed approaches for strategic decision-making. Previous roles within Boehringer Ingelheim included Team Lead for cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, as well as for physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) and quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) modeling. Valerie's early career involved significant contributions to clinical development programs in various therapeutic areas, alongside a solid academic background, including a PhD focused on population pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic modeling and internships in both pharmaceutical and academic settings.
