Thorsten Oost has extensive experience in medicinal chemistry, currently serving as the Head of Immunology & Respiratory Medicinal Chemistry at Boehringer Ingelheim since 2008, where management of the global exploratory Immunology & Respiratory NCE portfolio takes place. Prior roles at Boehringer Ingelheim include Director of Medicinal Chemistry and Senior Principal Scientist, contributing to numerous NCE development candidates and leading significant research projects across multiple therapeutic areas. Prior to Boehringer Ingelheim, Thorsten held various roles at AbbVie, including Head of Laboratory and Research Project Leader, where key contributions to CNS disease research were made. Thorsten Oost holds advanced degrees in Chemistry, including a Ph.D. from Leibniz Universität Hannover and a post-doctoral fellowship in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
