Panagiota Makri is an experienced professional in the field of microbiology and quality control, currently serving as the Head of Site Quality Control at Boehringer Ingelheim since January 2019. Prior to this role, Panagiota held significant positions at Novartis from 2013 to 2018, including Head Microbiology, where leadership encompassed a team managing microbiological quality systems and compliance with regulatory guidelines. Earlier experience includes roles at DEMO Pharmaceuticals S.A. focused on aseptic filling and quality control laboratory setups, as well as research at the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens and EMBL. Panagiota holds a Master of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Heidelberg University and a Diploma in Biology from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon, supplemented by educational experience at the University of Vienna.
