Nora Kane has a wealth of experience in media, production, and content operations. Nora began their career in 2014 as a Blog Abroad Correspondent for AMIDEAST. In 2015, they worked as a Station Manager for WBCR, Production Editor for Beloit Fiction Journal, and Director and Co-producer for Jaha Media, where they crafted questions, contacted potential participants, conducted, transcribed, and edited audio interviews. In 2016, they were a Media Coordinator and Strategist and a Media Assistant and Videographer for Erikson Institute, as well as an Audio Archive Intern for the Poetry Center of Chicago. In 2020, they became Co-Founder of Fi Kalam, where they wrote summaries, created Arabic/English vocabulary lists, transcriptions, and other support materials to make Arabic multimedia content accessible for Arabic-language learners. Nora also worked as a Producer for the University of Chicago Center for Middle Eastern Studies' Ventures Podcast. Most recently, Nora was hired as a Senior Content Operations Associate for Boclips in 2022.
Nora Kane attended Southwest High School from 2009 to 2012. In 2012, they began their Bachelor's Degree in Media Studies at Beloit College, which they completed in 2016. In 2014, they took a course in Area and Language Studies at Amideast in Amman, JO.
