Vatsalya Sunkara, P.Eng., currently serves as Team Lead and holds dual titles of Senior Technical Project Manager and Technical Project Manager at Boast.ai since February 2022, where the focus is on enabling companies to access R&D tax credits and innovation incentives. Prior experience includes the role of Lead Mechanical Engineer at Acuren from October 2017 to February 2022, conducting fitness-for-service assessments for various pressure vessels and components. As Automation Specialist at Ostara Nutrient Recovery Technologies from July 2015 to September 2017, Vatsalya developed PLC programs and designed HMI screens for nutrient recovery processes, having previously worked as a Summer Engineering Student for the same company. Early career roles include a Service Parts Representative at Handy Appliances Ltd and a Summer Intern at Maritime Services - Triton Marine. Vatsalya holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and a Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, as well as additional foundational education from The University of British Columbia and Point Grey Secondary Mini School.
