Kai Loon Ooi has extensive experience in application development and technology leadership, currently serving as the Application Development Head and Enterprise Domain Architect at BNY Mellon since November 2016. In this role, Kai leads an application development team and represents the APAC region, focusing on delivering innovative solutions through advanced technologies, such as IaaS, PaaS, and machine learning. Prior experience includes positions at Bank of Singapore as the Wealth Platform Lead, where strategic projects in financial technology were developed, and at Commerzbank AG, where leadership roles encompassed both back office and front office IT development for the Asia market. Additional roles at Accenture, Intel Corporation, and NCS Information Systems contributed to a strong foundation in software engineering, project management, and technology innovation. Kai Loon Ooi holds an MBA from the University of Birmingham and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia.
