Chunguang Xia has held various roles in the engineering field since 2009. From 2009 to 2010, they were an Engineering Intern at Caterpillar Inc. From 2010 to 2013, they were a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Lam Research. From 2013 to 2018, they were a Staff Mechanical Engineer at ASML. Since 2018, they have been the CTO and General Manager of Boston Micro Fabrication.

Chunguang Xia received their BS in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from the University of Science and Technology of China between 1997 and 2002. Chunguang then went on to pursue a MS in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2002 to 2004. Finally, they earned their PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the same university between 2004 and 2009.
