John Guertin

Exhibit Fabricator at Bluewater Studio

John Guertin has a diverse professional background, currently serving as a Security Officer at Grand Rapids Public Museum since February 2020, while also working as an Exhibit Fabricator at Bluewater Studio since November 2019. In addition, John holds the position of President/Craftsman at Heart & Eagle Company, where award-winning nature products are crafted from reclaimed barn wood and sold to various retail and wholesale locations. Between January 2013 and December 2015, John played a key role as Director of Promotions/Art Director for the Cascade Writers' Group/Great Lakes Commonwealth of Letters, contributing to the publication of a literary anthology. John’s earlier experience includes working as an Ad Designer/Tour Coordinator at Grand Rapids Press from 1996 to 2010 and as a Cleanup Animator/Assistant/Sound Breakdown with Atkinson Film Arts in the mid-1980s. Academic qualifications include a B.A. in English Literature & Drama from the University of Toronto Mississauga and a three-year course in Classical Animation from Sheridan College.
