Tyra Smith, PharmD, currently serves as the Manager of Global Regulatory Sciences at Blueprint Medicines since July 2021, having previously completed a Global Regulatory Affairs Fellowship at the same company. Tyra's academic background includes a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Hampton University, obtained in 2021. In addition to industry experience, Tyra has held a Clinical Instructor position at Northeastern University's BouvĆ© College of Health Sciences from July 2021 to November 2022 and gained practical knowledge as a Pharmacist Intern at CVS Pharmacy from April 2018 to September 2021. Tyra has engaged in various externships, including roles in Regulatory and Health Policy at the FDA and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation, as well as clinical experience in a neonatal intensive care setting at Childrenā€™s Hospital of The King's Daughters. Early experiences include a Healthcare and Insurance Externship with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management and a Summer Pathways Internship at the FDA in 2017.
