Cheryl Wasserman is a knowledgeable professional in health care compliance and operations, with extensive experience spanning over two decades. Currently a Senior Consultant at BluePeak Advisors since April 2016, Cheryl specializes in Medicare Parts C and D operational and compliance issues, conducting audits and assisting with CMS compliance. Prior to this, Cheryl held senior consulting roles at Sienna Group LLC, addressed Medicare compliance as VP at Medical Card Systems Inc., and served as Chief Privacy Officer at WellCare, where significant contributions were made towards HIPAA compliance and corporate privacy initiatives. Additionally, Cheryl gained substantial experience at HealthNow New York, Inc., progressing through various leadership roles including Senior Director of HIPAA Compliance and Director of Claims and Service. Cheryl holds a JD from SUNY Buffalo Law School and a BA in Criminal Justice/Sociology from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
