Steve Scarfone has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Software Engineer at BlueCat since 2022. Prior to this, from 2017 to 2022, Steve worked as a Software Engineer at Rajant Corporation.

From 2015 to 2017, they served as a Software Architect at Nokia, where they were responsible for high-level design, feature management, and leading an offshore development team. Additionally, in this role, they designed security improvements and a REST API for implementation into VitalQIP.

Before Nokia, Steve worked at Vertex Inc. as a Sr Software Engineer from 2010 to 2015. Here, they designed, developed, and tested Vertex Enterprise, an income tax provisioning product using various technologies in an agile development environment.

From 1998 to 2010, Steve was a Sr Software Engineer at Alcatel-Lucent, which was later acquired by Nokia. During this time, they made significant contributions to the VitalQIP product, serving as the Feature Lead for teams of up to twelve developers.

Earlier in their career, Steve held roles as a Sr Software Engineer at Lotus Development Corp, where they played a utility role in converting a mail server product, and at RSA Security as a Sr Software Engineer.

Steve's work experience dates back to 1991 when they started their career as a Software Engineer at Data General Corp.

Steve Scarfone has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from the University at Buffalo. Steve also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from the same university.
