Mr. Solursh’s career has focused on value creation in special situations, from both an operational and strategic perspective. Spanning almost three decades, Mr. Solursh has acted as the accountable manager in a multitude of situations. He has taken on CEO, CFO and CRO roles, managing complex employee groups, stakeholders and commercial operations as a broad-based leader and change agent.
Mr. Solursh’s involvement in the Blue Wolf portfolio is currently as CFO of KDB. He was involved as CFO in the successful turnaround of Novo Building Products. In addition, he served as CFO of Blue Wolf’s portfolio company, The State Group, rebuilding the company’s operational and financial reporting functions to facilitate the transition of a new leadership team. Mr. Solursh sits on the Board of Novo Building Products. Mr. Solursh focuses on value creation for stakeholders and development of the management team he is leading by generating and managing change.
Mr. Solursh’s specialized knowledge and hands-on interim management experience have been developed working throughout North America, as well as in the Caribbean, Central America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Russia. His focus has been on restructuring, management and balance sheet transactions in diverse industries, including airlines and support industries, manufacturing, construction, creative and branded products, distribution, trucking, telecommunications and retail. This experience contributes to Mr. Solursh’s innovative and proven approach to restructuring and interim management and has allowed Mr. Solursh to work with highly complicated and sensitive multi-jurisdictional matters.
In addition to being part of the Blue Wolf team, Mr. Solursh is the Managing Principal of R.e.l. group inc., a turnaround and restructuring firm. This allows him to bring a “team” management solution to special situations.
