Nicky Wright has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. They began their career as an intern at various companies, including Michael O'Mara Books Limited, The Mail on Sunday, and the City of Chicago. They then worked as a Business Development Copywriter at The Live Group before moving on to roles at Digitas North America, where they served as a Business Development Associate and later an Account Supervisor. They continued to work at Digitas UK, taking on positions such as Senior Account Manager and Account Director, where they led programs with notable clients like Honda Motor Europe. Nicky then joined Blue State Digital as an Account Director and later Senior Account Director. They went on to work at Digitas UK again, this time as a Business Director, leading engagements with clients like BT EE, Visa UK & EU, Slimming World, HSBC, and Marriott. Most recently, Nicky has returned to Blue State as a Group Account Director, overseeing business operations and partnerships with global clients, including UNHCR, Save the Children, and The One Campaign.
Nicky Wright obtained a BA (Hons) 2:1 degree in English Studies from the University of Nottingham, which they attended from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, Nicky attended Tiffin Girls' School from 1995 to 2002 and achieved A-Levels in English Literature, History, and Psychology.
In addition to their formal education, Nicky also obtained several certifications. They completed an Introduction to Counselling Skills program at The Minster Centre in June 2022 and obtained a Mental Health First Aid certification from Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England in April 2021. In 2016, Nicky obtained a Scrum Master Foundation certification from the Scrum Alliance. They also completed a People Management & Diversity program at Birkbeck, University of London in February 2014. In 2013, Nicky underwent PRINCE2® Foundation Certification Training, although the specific month is not provided.
