Erik Brinke is an experienced professional with a strong background in administrative services and external relations within the electric cooperative sector. Since August 2002, Erik has served as the Director of Administrative Services and External Relations at Blue Ridge Mountain Electric Membership Corporation, focusing on corporate management, economic development, and key accounts services. Erik also holds the position of Interim EVP & General Manager, overseeing the operations of the cooperative and its broadband subsidiary. Prior to joining BRMEMC, Erik worked as a Manager at the State of North Carolina's Department of Commerce, overseeing economic development services, and served as the Workforce Development Director for the Southwestern NC Planning & Economic Development Commission. Erik holds a BA in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where studies took place from 1988 to 1993.
