Joe Merrill is a seasoned software engineer currently employed at Blue Origin since December 2024. Prior to this role, Joe served as a Principal Software Engineer at Valtech following the acquisition of Kin + Carta in April 2024, where expertise was applied as a Principal Software Engineer, focusing on cloud-native web applications utilizing React, Typescript, and Node. Joe's experience extends back to MDScripts from 2015 to 2022, managing development teams in healthcare technology and overseeing the full software development lifecycle of various applications. Earlier roles include Senior FPGA Design Engineer and Customer Application Engineer at Xilinx, contributing to custom FPGA design and client support in telecommunications and medical devices. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.
