Ben Waltz has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Ben has worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota since 2016, starting as a Child Care assistant in 2011, before moving on to various roles, including Large Group Account Management Intern, Client Executive, and Government Markets Housing Program Manager/County Liaison. In their most recent role at Blue Cross and Blue Shield, they served as the Program Manager Principal, focusing on Social Determinants of Health & Innovation. Additionally, Ben has worked as a Coach at Starters Sports Training, a Health Consultant at Hell's Kitchen, and a Healthy Communities Intern at Ramsey County. Ben also has experience as a Personal Fitness Trainer at Minnesota Mash.

Ben Waltz has a strong education background in public affairs and healthcare innovation. In 2012, they graduated from Washburn Senior High School with a high school diploma. Ben then went on to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health Education and Promotion at the University of St. Thomas, completing their studies in 2016.

After their undergraduate studies, Ben furthered their education at the University of St. Thomas, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Health Care Innovation from 2018 to 2019. During this time, they focused on expanding their knowledge and expertise in the field.

In 2021, Ben attended the Humphrey School of Public Affairs as part of their Policy Fellows Program. Although the field of study is not specified, this opportunity provided him with valuable insights and experiences in the public affairs sector.

Additionally, in November 2013, Ben obtained a certification in CPR/First Aid from the Red Cross Blood Services, further enhancing their skills and qualifications in emergency medical procedures.
