Steve Carew, ASA, MAAA, is a seasoned actuarial professional with extensive experience in the insurance and financial services sectors. Currently serving as Senior Actuary at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama since February 2013, Steve previously held the position of Manager, Actuarial Services at Blue Cross of Idaho from December 2001 to February 2013. Earlier in the career, Steve was the Director of Product Development at Hillenbrand Industries, Forethought Financial Services and worked as an Inventory Analyst at Delta Faucet Company. The professional journey began as an Assistant Actuary at American United Life Insurance Company. Steve holds a Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University, a Master of Science in Statistics from Miami University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Franklin College.
