Aravind Chodavarapu is a Clinical Pharmacy Manager at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama since March 2021, overseeing the medical drug benefit program, formulary development, prior authorization, and utilization management while analyzing pharmacy claims data for medication efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Prior to this role, Aravind served as a Bone Marrow Transplant/Hematology/Oncology Pharmacist at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from July 2012 to March 2021, working collaboratively with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and conducting comprehensive medication reviews. Aravind's experience also includes a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Piedmont Hospital and pharmacy internships at CVS Pharmacy. Aravind holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Auburn University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Alabama.
