Pooja Aggarwal has a diverse range of experience in the publishing industry. Pooja most recently served as the Director of Academic and Professional Publishing at Bloomsbury Publishing Plc starting from July 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Springer Nature as the Editorial Director and Executive Editor from 2016 onwards. Before that, they held multiple roles at Nature Publishing Group, including Head of STM, Academic Journals, Publisher, and Market Research Project Manager. Pooja started their career at Palgrave Macmillan as a Product Manager and also worked at Pan Macmillan as an Assistant Sales Manager. Overall, Pooja Aggarwal has extensive experience in various aspects of publishing, including editorial management, product development, market research, sales, and marketing.

Pooja Aggarwal pursued their undergraduate studies at SOAS University of London from 1995 to 1998. Pooja obtained a BA Hons degree in Economics and Politics during this time. Following their undergraduate studies, they went on to attend the University of Cambridge from 1998 to 1999. Pooja pursued an MPhil in Development Studies, specializing in Development Economics and International Development.
