Dr. Lauren Mackay is an accomplished historian and author with extensive experience as a tour leader and expert contributor across various prestigious platforms. Currently serving as a Tour Leader at Academy Travel Pty Ltd since August 2024, Dr. Mackay also contributes expertise to Netflix and BBC, both roles active since April and August 2022, respectively. As a published author with Bloomsbury Publishing Plc since 2018, Dr. Mackay has crafted engaging narratives in history. Previous contributions include a tenure at the Smithsonian Channel from September 2019 to January 2020. Dr. Mackay holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in History from the University of Newcastle, along with a Master's degree in History from the University of New England (AU) and a Bachelor's degree in Music from the University of Sydney.
